Our story

In 2015, Silas set up a Facebook page: 'Critical Care in Prehospital Practice'. This gradually amassed a large following from clinicians all over the world, including student and qualified paramedics, nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

As the page grew, Silas began working with others to provide continuing professional development, create educational material, and develop products for use in the prehospital, resuscitation, and emergency medical settings. These developments naturally led to the creation of 'PREMED' – a home for all of this collaboration.

We are now pleased to be providing medical education in a variety of forms to (hopefully) suit any healthcare professional working in the prehospital, resuscitation, or emergency environment.

Our mission statement

PREMED was built by clinicians for clinicians.

Our mission is to provide high quality, accessible education in a variety of forms to cater for a breadth of different learning styles. To ensure quality, our faculty are all practicing clinicians, and only teach subjects they have a working knowledge and specialist interest in.

We strongly believe in 'ethical privatisation' and as such we want to work with education institutions and employers, not against them. We are a private organisation, but we are an ethical one. We strive to streamline our education practices to ensure they are easily accessible, affordable, and applicable to practice, and we work with partnering organisations to minimise the costs to learners.

We aim to be transparent in our practices and responsive to consumers. We will undoubtedly be wrong from time-to-time (we're a small organisation and we're only human) in which case we want to be called out. So if you have any questions or concerns, or just want to get in touch, please don't hesitate to reach out.

We can't wait to work with you!
