PhEDECs®

The Prehospital and Emergency Department ECG Course

The aim of PhEDECs® is to provide ambulance services and their clinicians with a structured, scalable and certified ECG education pathway that builds  confidence and clinical competence. Developed by specialist paramedics and doctors, PhEDECs® delivers a progressive, tiered approach to ECG education.

Unlike traditional ECG courses that focus solely on pattern recognition, PhEDECs® teaches interpretation in clinical context, linking ECG findings with patient assessment, decision-making and safe referral. The course is mapped to HCPC, College of Paramedics (CoP) and HSSIB standards and incorporates the RC(UK) 2025 guidelines.
